Why Rootly exists
Rootly started on a Michigan homestead with a garden that grew more than one family could eat, and neighbors asking where they could buy fresh, local food. The farmers market was one morning a week. Social media groups were chaos — buried posts, no payments, no way to manage orders. And the big platforms were built for shipping boxes across the country, not for the farmer down the road selling eggs by the dozen.
So our founder built Rootly: a place where any farmer, baker, beekeeper, or food maker can set up a store in minutes, and buyers browse a map, order online, and pick up fresh from a real neighbor. No middlemen, no commission on your sales, no shipping warehouses. Just a direct line between the person who grew it and the person who wants to eat it.
Rootly is growing across the country, one community at a time.
